The Bath Central Riverside regeneration scheme was awarded £548,000 of grant funding from the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) in 2023 with £232,000 match funding from the Bath and North East Somerset Council (B&NES)

The six sites selected were informed by the Local Plan.

The current Local Plan (Development Plan) can be viewed on the Council’s website at https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/development-plan

The key site allocations for the Bath Central Riverside area are SB2 (Central Riverside) and SB3 (Manvers Street).

This project will create an overarching vision for the Bath Central Riverside area and will form part of the evidence base to the Local Plan review. Each project site will have its own outputs and strategy. This will form the basis of future projects that would seek to unlocking sites for development, implement public realm enhancements, deliver events and animation and inform transport improvements.

We’ll be working closely with residents, businesses and other key stakeholders to develop the overarching vision and develop the outputs and strategic for each site.

The purpose of the engagement event is to publicly introduce the project, test and pilot ideas and gain initial feedback.

The October 2024 engagement event is held at the Colonnades and Parade Gardens and provides an opportunity to pilot ideas in these locations including outdoor events, event space and commercial ideas.
